Chill a bottle of gin, with a clean empty cocktail glass, overnight in a freezer. Pour 3 oz. of gin into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Take a bottle of Noilly Prat dry vermouth and wave the bottle over the top of the cocktail shaker, without actually opening the bottle. Stir contents of cocktail shaker for a few moments and strain into glass. Garnish with olives if desired.

VARIATION

As above, except instead of waving the bottle of Noilly Prat above cocktail shaker, position the bottle in such a way that light shines through it and onto the finished cocktail.
