It is completely legitimate to jump around - find the topics you need. However, to truly delve into the course, please take this in chronological order, for the history influences the culture, which in turn influences the literature; this will allow for better comprehension. The literature will be difficult to understand without reading the culture, for sure; on the other hand, the history is pretty independent and will not refer to anything other than previous history.
