Purification[edit | edit source]

Generally to purify water you boil it and most bacteria will then be gone. At high altitudes, where water boils at a significantly lower temperature, boiling may not reliably kill enough bacteria to make the water safe. Boiling will not remove toxic chemicals or contamination so the water may still be unfit to drink.

Filtration[edit | edit source]

There are a few methods

  1. Filter paper
  2. Reed beds grow around pollution ergo they take pollutants in from the water
  3. Reverse osmosis
